Gladstone Shells
The Player Dates 7-ply mahogany shells are produced by C&C. We wanted to focus on one main objective: more wood, less glue. Becaus of that our thicker plys give a lower fundamental tone, which in turn gives a warmer sound. The shells offer a wide tuning range Gladstone’s objective is simple. 2 Sizes
The C&C Player Date is offered in 2 size configurations: „Big Beat“ and „Be-Bop“. The „Big Beat“ configuration comes in the sizes 22“ x 14“, 13“ x 8“, 16“ x 14“ and can be ordered with an optional 14“ x 6.5“ snare drum. The „Be-Bop“ model sizes are 20“ x 14“, 12“ x 8“, 14“ x 14“ and its matching optional snare drum size is 14“ x 5.5“. We also offer single drums by special order in both 18“ x 12“ and 24“ x 14“ for bass drums as well as a 18“ x 14“ floor tom.
3 Finishes
The Player Date is available in 3 finishes: „honey“, „mahogany“ and „silver sparkle“. Both„honey“ und „mahogany“ are lacquer finishes, while the „silver sparkle“ is a wrap finish. It up to you which finish you chose. For once, this acutally is a matter of taste.
The perfect Wood
All our drums start from wood. Not round, perfectly formed pre-fabricated shells, but flat sheets of the most beautiful, perfect wood one can acquire. The Player-Date is made out of 7-plies of the reowned mahogany coming from the “Gladstone Woods” (Kansas City, USA). "Radio King" Reissue Hardware
Auch bei der Auswahl der Player Date-Hardware orientiert sich C&C an klassischen Vintage Drumkits der 50er/60er Jahre. Alle Kessel werden mit „Radio King“-Reissue-Hardware versehen, dazu wurden als Bassdrum-Füße passende „Vintage Spurs“ ausgesucht. Während sowohl das Holz, als auch die Größenkonfigurationen dem Player Date zu seinem einzigartigen Klang verhelfen, sorgt die bewusste Entscheidung zur gewählten Hardware der Kits für ihr – im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes – ausgezeichnetes Äußeres.
Matched Woodhoops
While designing the bass drum, we thought of something which fits perfectly to the overall concept of the Player Date. Every bass drum comes equipped with perfectly combined wood hoops, which depending on the finish of the drum kit, come in black, brown or a natural finish. The centerd white marine pearl inlay in every wood hoop complements the Player Dates overall appereance.

Big Beat
The Player Date Big Beat with its 14 × 22 bass drum, 8 × 13 rack tom, 15 × 16 floor tom and matching 6.5 × 14 snare drum presents itself as the perfect rock setup ranging from rock ‘n’ roll and punk rock to alternative rock over to indie and hard rock. Nevertheless a characteristic jazz tuning is also easily attainable because of the tremendous tuning range. The uniqueness of the in-house produced Gladstone Shells offers a warm vintage sound, which revive the best times of John Bonham and Keith Moon and allow the drummer to dive into this amazing world of rock history. Be Bop
The Player Date Be Bop configuration comes with a 14 × 20 bass drum, 8 × 12 rack tom, 14 × 14 floor tom and matching 5.5 × 14 snare drum. It is the smaller alternative of the C&C Player Date, which does not mean that you are missing out on anything. For its size, the sound is unbelievably huge! The sizes this shell pack features are designed for genres like jazz, funk, blues, indie, electro and folk. But since it comes with Gladstone Shells, the tuning range also provides rock drummers with a full, rich and authentic sound, which will astonish your friends and band members. The playing feel is so honest and real, Player Date model brings back the times that Be Bop legends like Elvin Jones and Tony Williams coined and dominated. Whether its a session, a small stage oder a stadium: this Be Bop kit is the perfect choice for drummers who are looking for a small, lightweight set, which provides a sound that simply amazes.
